Fair Play & Rules
CheckmateLeague is built around honest, independent, skill-based chess play.
These rules exist to protect competitive integrity, fair rewards, creator systems,
Sunday Championship events, and trust across the platform.
🚫 What is not allowed
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Using chess engines, bots, scripts, solver tools, or outside analysis during live play
- Receiving move suggestions, coaching, or help from another person during a game
- Account sharing, letting another person play for you, or multi-accounting
- Collusion, arranged outcomes, intentional losses, or manipulating standings or rewards
- Disconnect abuse, timer abuse, stalling, or network manipulation for advantage
- Exploiting bugs, loopholes, or technical weaknesses for personal gain
- Fraudulent payment behavior, creator-code abuse, Sunday Championship abuse, ticket abuse, or fake participation
⚠️ How fair-play review works
We may review gameplay patterns, move timing, match history, device signals,
account behavior, blockchain or transaction patterns, creator activity, ticket activity,
Sunday Championship activity, and other integrity indicators.
Reviews may happen automatically, manually, or both. A review can take place before,
during, or after a match, event, reward payout, creator payout, or withdrawal request.
🛡️ What actions we may take
If cheating, fraud, abuse, or manipulation is detected or reasonably suspected, we may:
- Issue warnings or temporary restrictions
- Suspend or permanently ban an account
- Remove access to tournaments, leagues, creator programs, Sunday Championship events, or reward features
- Cancel match results, placements, or event standings
- Deny, hold, reverse before submission, or cancel reward-related payouts or withdrawals
- Forfeit coins, rewards, promotional tickets, Sunday Championship entries, or creator benefits tied to abuse
✔️ Player responsibilities
- Play only on your own account
- Compete honestly and without outside assistance
- Use only approved platform features while a game is live
- Maintain a stable connection whenever possible
- Follow tournament timing, league rules, Sunday Championship rules, and event instructions
- Use creator and promotional systems honestly
- Report suspicious activity instead of trying to retaliate yourself
💰 Coins, rewards & withdrawals
- Coins are platform-use balances and are not withdrawable
- Eligible reward payouts are handled separately through rewards balances
- Reward withdrawals may be delayed or reviewed for anti-fraud and fair-play reasons
- Players who cheat or abuse the platform may lose access to rewards or payout eligibility
Protecting competitive integrity also means protecting reward systems, league results,
creator events, Sunday Championship events, and on-platform promotions from abuse.
🏆 Sunday Championship & promotional abuse
The Sunday Championship is a promotional event and must be played honestly.
Tickets, entries, creator-code eligibility, and promotional access cannot be manipulated.
Players are responsible for arriving on time and completing the Sunday Championship
check-in process. Failure to be present in the Sunday Championship Lobby during the
designated 60-second check-in window may result in removal from the event before pairings begin.
Any attempt to manipulate Sunday Championship access, standings, rewards payouts,
ticket systems, creator systems, multi-account activity, collusion, or qualification systems may result in:
- Disqualification from events
- Removal of rewards or prizes
- Loss of Sunday Championship tickets or entries
- Creator payout reversals before payment
- Account suspension or permanent bans
🎟️ Creator codes & promotions
Tickets, creator codes, Sunday Championship entries, and creator-linked promotions must be used honestly.
Fake purchases, self-dealing, account farms, duplicate accounts, or manipulated participation may result in disqualification.
Promotional tickets may expire, may be single-use, and may only apply to specific events.
